Independence Day - a bug's eye view

(I realize that species of Lepidoptera and Hymenoptera are not actually 'bugs', and hope this qualifying statement keeps me in good standing at the Old Entomologist.)

What sort of limiting definition of "bug" are you laboring under?

A bug is an insect of the order Hemiptera, known as the "true bugs".
