Friday Random (1) + (1)

I remember seeing these guys on a pier in the South Street Seaport, back in the day. (Back in the day means when I worked in lower Manhattan, so sometime between 1984 and 1995.)

Right back atcha, Brando!

P.S. For some reason, this shows up as a suggestion with the Styx. So for you gagaists (gagaistas?) out there:

How randomly nice to be out strolling and pass Bela Fleck!! Not so much for Styx... that might make your stroll turn into a run...

And, thanks for the make-up lesson. I think it would have been better had we seen Thunder's version of going gaga.

Of perhaps I misread and it was not random... but that you went there specifically to partake in the Flecktones... I guess I was thinking more of all of the wonderful random things that can cross your path when you're in a big city.

Styx often plays Summerfest.... it's always packed. Pshaw.

Admittedly, I have seen them a couple of times.

I thought at first you were referring to your own stroll through the blogs. Is it left and then up to get here?

And, thanks for the make-up lesson.

Lookin' purty looks like a lot of work!

And yes, I had some friends who alerted me to the free Bela Fleck concert. It was summertime as I recall, and you could buy nice big cups of cold beer and watch the concert out on those piers in the Hudson.

Gotta love summer in the city!

Yes, indeed. And there are piers in the Hudson, and you can buy cold beer on those, too.

But this was the East River. DOH!

P.S. Both rivers are better at high or incoming tide.

What's a "river?"

What's a "river?"

It's the thing I make each morning while contemplating going to work.
