White-breasted Nuthatch and Couch Potato Amelia

My contribution to Eileeinmd's Saturday's Critters #116. I'm also linking to Anni's I'd Rather B Birdin'.
It's been a while since I visited the birds in W.V. This pic is from January:

It's hard to resist well over 100 pounds of Irish Wolfhound tucking herself into a little ball of fur:

Here's the mystery birdie bush, on March 3 and March 4:

Nonetheless, spring is on the way:

We're getting our first crocuses, and my beloved stinging nettles are starting to poke through the surface of the ground. Spring is around the corner.

I love Amelia, she's a 100 lb. puppy.

Awww Amelia - so huggable! I love your crocuses - the world is turning. No autumn leaves here yet, though.

Love the little upside down visitor. Nuthatches are so intriguing! Looks like Spring is well on the way around your place... Pretty soon Amelia will be ready to come out of hibernation and go play out in the sunshine!

Nice to see signs of spring. Here in south Florida it is more of a non-event, especially this year with winter feeling more like the summer wet season.

Same as Kenneth's comment....Winter here is just like summer this year in South Texas. I can't imagine what Summer will actually be like....I fear the heat come May-September.

Neat birds, and sweet sweet doggie! 100 pounds y'say? Well now, that's a lotta dog!!!

Thanks for adding your post to the linking this week at I'd Rather B Birdin'. I didn't have computer for some time off and on because of storms, so this is my first chance to get over here to visit with you.
