i like your bird feeders...they look like little rockets! i also like the critter statues...and of course the squirrel!! such hard headed...determined little critters...and such fun to watch!!
These feeders belong to a neighbor down the street. I know there is a way to arrange those baffles to stop the squirrels, but they're often on the ground and thus ineffective. ~
I find myself confuzzled. Why make the choice to feed the feathered critters while actively working to deny the food to the furry ones? Is it merely a case of being selective in the wildlife you are seeking to attract nearer to your living space, or is there something darker underlying this kind of species bigotry?
(I mention it because if the Squirrel hate gets strong enough, shooting them (along with rats and rabbits) is an enjoyable, challenging undertaking)...
Those eagle sculptures are comical, they look kinda stubby. Lucky me, I saw a juvenile eagle soaring above my jobsite when I got to work this afternoon.
Let's get together this Spring and throw some rocks at that nest. I bet we can bring it down!
The summer before last, I discovered a huge hornets' nest right near the area that was designated the "children's play area" for an upcoming summer fundraiser. When my co-worker came to relieve me at midnight, I told him we had a little project that needed to be done. I had him illuminate the nest, which was bigger than your head, and I knocked it down with a pole. We ran like hell after that, but hornets don't operate too well at night, so we escaped getting stung.

Squirrels are so cute, but they can wreak some havoc on feeders!
cute little varmint. :)
That last one's great - he knows he's not supposed to be there!
I really like your poles for your bird feeders, thunder. I wonder if I can buy something like that in this country. Maybe you made them...?
I like the eagles, too.
Pretty birds and the squirrel is so cute.
Lovely variety of critters for today's meme. Guilty, I don't think so!

GOOD TIMES!!!
You can't blame the squirrels for taking part in the feast, but they do like to clean out the feeders!

Nutkin eats too much, mikey.
He can wait for the bits that fall, those are plentiful enough!
