Columbus Steel

Carmi's Thematic Photographic 280 is Made of Steel. Here we have a road construction project in Columbus.

My car has some steel in it...

Not made of steel: Golden-crowned Kinglet. I took these pictures from the deck in W.V. I can't recall seeing one before.

I like seeing shots from your home port! Your car seems weighted down with so much white stuff too! Cute birds too! I like evening shots as well!

Pretty bird! And I am sooo thankful I'm not there in the snow!

Hmmm! You've got a lot of winter there! Your Kinglet looks remarkably like what we call a Firecrest (due, no doubt to the orange streak on his head) We also have Goldcrests, with a yellow streak on their head, which are a little more common than the Firecrest. The Firecrest has a black stripe down the side of the orange, which makes it easy to identify, should you be so lucky as to see one. We have Godlcrests up here - tiny birds, the smallest in the British Isles, they love conifer trees, but I have never seen a Firecrest up here in the north of England.

Made of steel? Why didn't you post a picture of your left calf?

Love the kinglet, it's a sweet looking little bird.

There's an awful lot of steel in different forms in your first shot. Wish we had a bird like the Kinglet.
We get the Goldcrest that Gilly mentioned in our garden from time to time searching the conifers.
