Leaves and Dogs

Carmi's Thematic Photographic 239 is Leaves. In Berkeley Springs right now, most of the leaves are on the ground still.

If this was DC, all the animals would have melted like that iced cream.

Fun photos, it's always fun to see your nature and dogs- and bugs and other creatures! As for ice cream, I sure wish the weather was screaming for that here!

Have those mountain laurels grown at all?

B^4, the first one was completely eaten by the deer before I put a fence around it. So it has grown nicely...of course, said eating event was back in early 2000.

They don't grow so fast, on the northwestern side of the house.

Great shot of that wasp! Glad I moused over it... Must be warm out where you're at... I know the theme is leaves but I've got a soft spot for your dog! :-)

That is a fantastic wasp! Not the common sort - buzzy sting-y yellow and black beasts though that we get though.

And I do like buttercups, only not the creeping sort that fling out runners like they think they are octopussies in my flower border!

Leaves seems like a distinctly Fall-esque theme to me. But, hey, you can't go wrong in Berkley Springs.

They don't sound like Mark E. Smith at ALL.

That's a strange looking wasp! we have the ordinary black-and-yellow ones and some nasty little black stingers, but none that look like that fellow.

We all love your Theda :)

I think that leaf the wasp was examining was actually a bit of an oak flower.

National Geographic called: they'd like to option your wasp pic. Seriously, stunning.
