Mountain Laurel update
This is what the last one looked like last year. Apparently the opening in the top of the cage was too large. All the upper leaves have been eaten, there's one dead branch, and one live branch at the bottom...

Top picture = Giant green-eyed face.
I has a scare.
LOL! I was going to say a similar thing. That top photo looks like some druid clown memorial or something.
LAUGH AT STONE FACE FOOLISH MORTALS!!!
Also, bummer about the bottom laurel, but at least it's still alive!
For now, Jennifer. We'll see, the third laurel in the front (the one that isn't part of Stone Face) was apparently dead for a year or two, but came back to life.
On the other hand, this one is the third try down at the southwest side of the house. And it all takes years, one way or another (that's also part of the attraction).

This is why we can't have nice things eh?
If the thunder don't get ya, the deer will.
...apparently dead for a year or two...? Them laurels sure are hardy.

It doesn't have stigmata, does it??

I can see that. There was a time when I couldn't, but I can see that... especially when looking at my "new" babes that have been "new" for years. I have my great grandmother's Christmas cactus. I suppose it might officially be considered "old". :)

Zombie plant Movie! Attack of the Mixed-Up Killer Undead Laurels!!
Hey...where is that Musket Ridge golf course exactly. If it's Mid Atlantic, it can't be too far away from me. I can see hubby digging that place. (He golfs)
Musket Ridge G.C. is in Myersville, MD, near I-70.

Yup. Right next door.
It's the Andersonville of Mountain Laurels.
